Crisis communication
Gaining control of the situation. Gaining control of your communication.
Each crisis is unique. But whatever the issue, you want to gain control of the situation as quickly as possible.
We are at your disposal 24/7 and are available to support you. Our specialists have already experienced many crisis situations and steered several organisations back to calmer waters. They know what needs to be done in order to regain control.
If you are well prepared, you can get to grips with the situation more quickly. We offer training and realistic simulations and we support you in drawing up plans and protocols. Crises never follow an exact script and it is important that we continue to make adjustments and develop. That’s why we sit down with you after a crisis situation to evaluate your policy and make any necessary adjustments.
Developing crisis communication plans
A crisis communication plan enables you to maintain greater control over complex, challenging circumstances on multiple fronts. This includes jointly outlining strategy, defining what will and will not be communicated, and who will be informed when.
Developing scenario cards
We use scenario cards to outline potential situations you may have to deal with. This provides you with a clear picture of the communications strategy, the objectives and the short and long-term impact of each crisis situation.
Developing task cards
Together we develop task cards that summarise who should do what. This assigns everyone a clear role in crisis management and/or the crisis communication team. A task card contains all the information you need to tackle the crisis as a member of well-organised, professional team.
Crisis communication training
During our crisis communication training sessions, you learn specific skills in crisis communication and management. You can apply these skills during a crisis to restore calm. For example, you will learn what you can and cannot do or say, how to formulate a clear message – even under pressure – and how to maintain control during a crisis situation. Of course, we also practise this in an on-camera interview.
Crisis communication simulations
Crisis communication simulation is a valuable, interactive method to prepare you for what may come. In a safe environment, you experience the pressure of a real crisis situation. In so doing, we simulate the internal and external world as best we can. You will have to deal with media interest, angry stakeholders, worried colleagues and countless messages on social media… and then suddenly there’s a camera crew in front of you.
24/7 support
Our team of crisis communication specialists and highly experienced spokespersons are available and deployable 24/7 with the primary aim of keeping your organisation’s good reputation intact. They coordinate and maintain communication with the media and the family members of possible victims.
