Van Luyken and Van der Hilst: launching the new training programme

Until now, we haven’t offered a specific training programme for spokespeople or communication professionals with such duties in their portfolio. Van Luyken and Van der Hilst Communicatie acted proactively and developed the Senior Spokesperson training programme, which provides communication professionals with practical tools to raise their spokesperson role to a senior level. Van Luyken has many years of experience providing training in this field, along with media training under the brand name of De Trainingsstudio, and Van der Hilst is the Netherlands’ leading communications trainer. Together, they strive to professionalise and strengthen the communications profession.

Youssef Eddini, managing partner of Van Luyken and De Trainingsstudio, had been toying with the idea of setting up a training programme for spokespersons for some time. “At Van Luyken, I had an opportunity to develop this initiative into a brilliant training programme with the right network and the right strategic partner.” Youssef’s idea immediately resonated with Simone Dorreboom, director of Van der Hilst Communicatie.

Simone: “In conversations with spokespeople from our network, we heard that they needed training that focused on their challenging field of work. We already had a great working relationship with Youssef (and Van Luyken) for our ‘Maintaining media contacts actively and effectively’ course. The energy, enthusiasm and professional expertise we experienced in our mutual contact left us wanting more. Developing this course with Van Luyken was therefore a logical step. I believe that together we really have the quality to challenge spokespeople to take the next step in their careers.”

Unique in the Netherlands
There’s already a wide range of training options available for communication professionals. And now also for spokespeople. The Senior Spokesperson programme is unique in the Netherlands. It consists of 11 sessions (22 half-days) and starts on 23 September. The teachers are battle-hardened and share their knowledge and experience. The sessions are headed up by leading experts and experienced media trainers from De Trainingsstudio, including Bregittha Nuyten, Ronald van der Aart, Hendrik Jan Eijpe, Ernst Moeksis and Youssef Eddini.

You can register through the Van der Hilst Communicatie website. More information can also be found on the De Trainingsstudio site.
