Van Luyken: three new communication professionals

With the arrival of three new communication professionals, Van Luyken is taking the next step in further strengthening the Haarlem-based communications agency. As of today, Vera de Witte will serve as an associate partner and will be working exclusively with Van Luyken in the field of communications strategy. What’s more, Maaike Vissink starts today as manager of De Trainingsstudio, the Van Luyken brand name for presentation, media and crisis communication training, among other things. Danielle van Beem already started as office manager and PA earlier this year.

Youssef Eddini, managing partner at Van Luyken: “Van Luyken is doing well. Clients have known where to find us and have valued our input for over 42 years. We’re proud that last year, we were named the best communications agency in the Netherlands in the product leadership category and that we are in the Top 3 of the best agencies in the Netherlands in the general list (source: Management Team). With the arrival of Vera, Maaike and Danielle, we have gained some much-needed reinforcement and a wealth of experience and expertise. They are assets to our agency in their own special way.”

Vera de Witte: associate partner
The arrival of Vera de Witte strengthens Van Luyken’s strategic clout. With eight publications on communication to her name, including De nieuwe communicatieprofessional (The new communication professional), and over 20 years of experience in the field of strategy, policy and government communication, Vera will mainly contribute to deepening the theoretical knowledge of the agency.

De Witte: “It’s inspiring to be able to work on strategic issues with an enthusiastic team of communication professionals and to be able to share my passion for the communication profession. I see the partnership at Van Luyken as a great enrichment to my current working environment in which I serve as a soloist through my own organisation and communications agency.”

Maaike Vissink: manager of De Trainingsstudio
In her new position, Maaike Vissink will be focusing on positioning De Trainingsstudio (as a trainer in media, presentation and crisis communication, among other things) and expanding its portfolio. Maaike previously worked at Frankwatching for eight years, where she grew the academy into one of the best in marketing & communication. Vissink: “After a side step at a secondment agency in education, I am itching to pick up my love for developing training courses and education again. My experience and knowledge of the profession means that everything comes together for me in this new position.”

Danielle van Beem: PA and office manager
Danielle van Beem will strengthen Van Luyken with her extensive work experience at communications agencies, among others. “At Van Luyken I have a twofold role as personal assistant to our managing partners and the linchpin as office manager of the agency. The varied nature of these tasks makes it a fun challenge to get everything well organised.”
